Don't get me wrong, I love them. They make my life far easier, and they're nice to talk to.
But at their core they're all just carbon copies of a predetermined archetype.
And truly, that's rather disheartening, especially considering that these prepackaged sets all tend to fill the same niches.
But, when those fuckers that can't take criticism and whore themselves for attention become your boss, it makes you think, "Damn, maybe I should try that. It'd make paying the mortgage a bit easier."
But back to the point.
It is impossible not to be a variation of a predetermined set of traits. Sure, you might be the starving artist that strives for originality, but how many are there that are exactly like you? Indulging themselves in counterculture, dressing without care, blinding themselves with the illusion that they are different that everyone else. Sound familiar?
Rather than trying to escape from it, I indulge myself in it. It is far better to cultivate the aspects of these copies that are desirable and prune those that are not, rather than trying to make your own. It's kind of like how art works, and if I need to explain that metaphor to you, you shouldn't be reading this.

The universe runs in cycles, meaning that focusing on the horizon means nothing because in the end all you're really doing is looking up your own ass, so just enjoy the walk.
